The Royal company from Priština will soon begin the realization of a project to build a luxury hotel on the site of the former Hotel Jadran in Ulcinj.
The contract on the realization of this investment, more precisely Annex IV of the contract, was signed by the director of this company, Arber Kryeziu, and the director of the Public Enterprise for Marine Management, Mladen Mikijelj, which means that all the necessary conditions have been created for the valorization of the location of the former Hotel Jadran in Ulcinj and an investment worth over 40 million EUR.
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said after signing the contract that Montenegro will get the most luxurious hotel on the Montenegrin coast with the construction of Hotel Jadran. The investment will be worth over EUR 40 million and will bear the name of one of the world’s most famous hotel brands. This locality, the popular Suka, is one of the most beautiful in Ulcinj, and for years it was trapped by administrative obstacles and bureaucracy. We worked to change that situation, and with the efforts of the Marine Department and the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, we managed to overcome the barriers and today we signed the contract for the construction of the hotel – said Abazović.
The building, he added, will have five stars, tens of millions of euros will be invested in it, and one of the biggest international brands in the world will operate it. We will reveal the name of the brand when the works start, the negotiations are still a secret, but Montenegro can count on getting a hotel in that area that will be one of the most prestigious in the country, and why not say on the entire Adriatic – said the Prime Minister .
The project will generate new jobs and increase the value of Montenegro and Ulcinj as tourist and investment destinations. No less important message that we are sending today is that this country is open to all investors and to all those people who want to do fair business. The policy in which contracts were not respected and in which the most beautiful locations were captured is behind us and I think that by signing this we are demonstrating that – he said.
He wished the investor much success and stated that the state and the local self-government will be at his disposal in overcoming the challenges that will arise during the implementation of the project. With the construction of the Jadran and Galeb hotels, and I hope that we will soon have information about the Albatros hotel, and with the idea that should change the face of Mala Plaža through a new promenade and a tunnel under the Old Town, I think that the image of Ulcinj will be changed to better and that the people who stay in this city will really enjoy it – concluded Abazović.
As previously announced by the Government, the signing of Annex IV of the contract will enable the investor to start the preparatory work for the construction of a hotel that, with a globally recognized brand, will be one of the most luxurious on the Montenegrin coast.
Let us remind you that the location of the former Hotel Jadran, which was located on the Suka peninsula, on Cape Ratislava, has been empty for more than 40 years. Earlier there were announcements that this location would be valorized, but this has not happened so far.
