As of the end of November, the total inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) amounted to EUR 801.69 million, while at the same time, EUR 347.87 million left the country, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG).
The net inflow of foreign direct investments, which is the difference between inflows and outflows, stood at EUR 453.83 million at the end of November, marking a 17.22% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
“The total inflow of foreign direct investments is 3.08% higher compared to the same period last year,” the Bulletin stated.
Outflows from the country due to resident investments abroad amounted to EUR 82.82 million, while withdrawals of funds by non-residents invested in Montenegro reached EUR 265.05 million.
FDI inflows in the form of equity investments totaled EUR 510.54 million, making up 63.68% of the total. Of this amount, EUR 400.78 million was invested in real estate, and EUR 109.76 million in companies and banks.
FDI inflows in the form of intercompany loans amounted to EUR 261.99 million, a 10.09% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The remaining 3.64% represented other investments.
