Montenegro’s innovation ecosystem is growing, with an increase in startups, particularly in digital platforms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, gaming, agriculture, healthcare and education. The BoostMeUp program has supported numerous startups, providing funding, mentorship and resources.
Challenges for startups include limited access to funding, a small domestic market, and fewer opportunities for international investments. However, strong institutional support from entities like Tehnopolis and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation is helping foster a favorable environment. The program offers financial rewards, mentorship, and business development support, with a focus on expanding internationally.
