Montenegro’s mobile user base sees growth, M:tel leads market share

As of the end of September, Montenegro had 1.54 million mobile phone users, a 0.34% decrease compared to September.

The number of users in October corresponds to a penetration rate of 248.37%, according to a report from the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP).

Compared to the same period last year, the number of users in October increased by 7.12%.

Postpaid users accounted for 52.75%, while prepaid users made up 47.25%.

Among the total number of users, the largest share was held by M:tel with 625,510 users or 40.62%, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 537,730 users or 34.92%, and One with 376,730 users or 24.46%.

M:tel had 46.47% of the total prepaid users, Crnogorski Telekom had 29.27%, and One had 24.26%.

In October, Crnogorski Telekom had 39.98% of the postpaid users, M:tel had 35.38%, and One had 24.64%.
