Montenegro sees retail sales growth in Q4 2024, decline from previous quarter

Retail sales in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 13.4% in current prices and 12.4% in constant prices compared to the same period in 2023, according to data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).

Retail sales in the fourth quarter of last year decreased by 17.2% in current prices and 16.5% in constant prices compared to the third quarter of the same year.

Statisticians calculated that retail sales of motor fuels in the fourth quarter of last year were up by 0.4% compared to the same period in 2023, while compared to the third quarter of last year, they decreased by 27.8%.

Retail sales of food in the fourth quarter increased by 14.2% compared to the same period in 2023, while compared to the third quarter of last year, they were down by 23%.

Retail sales of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 8.5% compared to the same period in 2023, but decreased by 4% compared to the third quarter of last year.

Retail sales of other non-food products in the fourth quarter of last year were up by 15.7% compared to the same period in 2023, while they decreased by 10.6% compared to the third quarter of last year.
