Montenegro’s traffic authority launches tender for reconstruction of R-3 road

The Traffic Authority has announced a tender for the reconstruction of the R-3 regional road, which connects Pljevlja to Dajevića Han. The value of the works is approximately EUR 4.1 million excluding VAT, or EUR 5 million with VAT included.

The deadline for completing the works is 18 calendar months from the date the contractor is introduced to the project. The project concerns a section of Save Kovačevića Street, specifically the segment from the military gas station to Dajevića Han. This street is also part of the R-3 regional road.

For the implementation of this project, the Traffic Authority has signed an agreement with the Municipality of Pljevlja, which outlines the system of co-financing. According to the agreement, the Traffic Authority will finance the works within its scope, while the municipality will cover the costs related to the local government’s responsibilities.

This means that the Traffic Authority will finance the works on the infrastructure, such as the roadbed formation, the construction of the stormwater drainage system, road pavement construction, and the installation of traffic signals and road equipment.

On the other hand, the Municipality will finance tasks such as the development and revision of the main project if necessary, land expropriation elaborations, land expropriation, construction of water supply systems, sewage systems, installation of low and high voltage electrical systems, relocation of existing utility installations, and any other works not covered by the agreement, in accordance with the main project.
