The company EE Korita plans to build a solar power plant in Bijelo Polje, on a location in the town of Korita, which will cover about 505 hectares. The construction of panels, i.e. power plants with a total installed power of 280 MWp (DC side) and 240 kVA (AC side) is planned.
The investor submitted a request to the Environmental Protection Agency for a decision on the need to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment Report.
In order to connect the solar power plant to the existing 400 kV transmission network, it is planned to build a 35/400 kV substation at the location of the future solar power plant and to further connect the 400 kV transmission line to the 400 kV infrastructure of the Montenegrin electrical distribution system.
It is proposed that the substation of the solar power plant will have a capacity of 300 MW, and the total expected production of electricity is 331,306 GWh per year.
The document also shows that the location of the project includes an uninhabited area. As determined by urban planning and technical conditions, it is an area owned by Farma-Moravac from Bijelo Polje. The area of the site is mostly pasture, and the planned area that will be covered by the future solar power plant is, as already stated, about 505 ha.
