The Traffic Directorate has announced a new tender for the construction of the bypass around Rožaje, specifically the remaining works of the second phase.
The estimated value of the works is 12 million EUR, excluding VAT, which is 2 million more than initially planned in the previous public call.
“The offered deadline for completing the works cannot be shorter than 350 nor longer than 450 calendar days from the contractor’s engagement,” said the Directorate.
They added that the second phase of the bypass is 2.6 kilometers long and connects the Berane-Rožaje main road at Dimiškin with the previously constructed first phase and the regional road Rožaje-Peć at Crnja.
Part of the works was carried out by Euro-asfalt and its partners under a contract that was later terminated.
The Directorate explained that the bypass around Rožaje is being built due to the need to divert transit traffic away from the city.
