On the second public call for the lease of Željezara’s steelworks and forge, only a bid from the Swiss company 8B Capital has been received, which was eliminated in the second round of the previous tender due to the lack of secured bank guarantees.
As Radio Crne Gore has learned, the details of the bid will be announced at the public opening of bids on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Until then, it is possible that another bid may arrive by mail.
The Swiss company was the only one to reach the second round in the previous call, but negotiations were terminated due to the lack of secured bank guarantees, which was not the only condition for the new call.
Previously, the Swiss company offered phased development of the forge and steelworks over five years from an initial production of two and a half thousand tons to 60,000 tons of forged steel.
At the beginning, they would employ 25 workers, and this number would increase to 150 within six months.
