Activities within the priority reform measures from the Program of Economic Reforms for Montenegro, for the first six months of this year, have been partially implemented, the Government announced.
At the session, the Government adopted the Report on the Implementation of the Program of Economic Reforms (PER) for Montenegro for the period 2023-2025, for the first six months of this year.
– PER is a medium-term strategic document that Montenegro is preparing as part of the dialogue on economic management with the European Union (EU) – the announcement says.
– The document consists of three key chapters: the macroeconomic framework, the fiscal framework and the chapter on structural reforms. The macroeconomic framework contains medium-term macroeconomic projections (GDP, inflation, balance of payments) – the Government explained.
The Government stated that, when it comes to structural reforms, PER contains an agenda of 19 priority measures.
The Government said that the implementation of the two reform measures has not yet started.
– It is about the measure Development of an integrated approach to increase the quality and inclusiveness of education, the implementation of which is in charge of the Ministry of Education – the Government said.
They pointed out that the main reason is that the funds provided by the EU Delegation in Montenegro are not yet operational, because the contract has not been signed, which is expected at the end of September.
