The value of realized payment transactions for 22 working days in October amounted to 1.96 billion euros, which is 0.5 percent more than in September, according to data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG).
Of this, 94.14 percent was realized in the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system, and the rest in the Deferred Net Settlement (DNS) system.
In the RTGS system, individual payment transactions between participants are performed on a gross basis in real time, and in the DNS system, interbank payment transactions are made on a net basis in delayed time.
“In October, in 22 working days, almost 1.22 million orders were executed, of which 38.04 percent in the RTGS system, and the rest in the DNS system,” according to the CBCG report.
The average daily volume of realized payment transactions in the RTGS and DNS system, expressed through the number of orders, amounted to 55,370 orders, while the average daily value of payment transactions amounted to 88.95 million euros.
In October, for 11,990 minutes of production, there were no interruptions in the operation of the system, so its availability was 100 percent.
