Port of Adria strike delayed by Court ruling

The strike by some employees at Port of Adria has been postponed until further notice, following an order from the Basic Court in Bar.

According to Radio Bar and Bar Info, members of the union have stated that the court ruled in favor of the employer, who argued that the planned strike was illegal.

An electronic meeting of the Port of Adria union organization is currently taking place, and a statement will be issued to the public afterward.

The Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro had previously announced that some employees at Port of Adria would go on strike tomorrow, demanding a 15% salary increase, the creation of a collective agreement with the employer, and the payment of a special wage for those participating in the strike during its duration.

The Port of Adria Bar union also notified the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Dialogue about the planned strike.
