Prime Minister Milojko Spajić stated that from January 1, 2025, electricity bills for citizens will remain the same, emphasizing that the government respects the decision of the independent regulator and maintains the stability of the energy sector, while finding a way to protect citizens, who will not experience an increase in network service charges on their bills starting next year.

As announced by the government, he made this statement after meeting with the Minister of Energy Saša Mujović, the Director of CEDIS Vladimir Ivanović, and the Director of CGS Ivan Asanović, following the decision of the Energy Regulatory Agency (REGAGEN) to increase prices for network services, which would have led to higher electricity prices starting January 2025.

“The government respects the regulator’s decision and ensures the stability of the energy sector, but has found a way to protect citizens, who, after EPCG did not raise the price of active energy, will not see any increase in network services. So, there will be no increase in electricity bills in any form for our citizens from January 2025,” said the prime minister.
