Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has expressed optimism that several northern cities in Montenegro could emerge as the primary centers for winter and year-round tourism with further development and enhancement of infrastructure.
In his congratulatory message for the Municipality of Žabljak’s Day, Spajić noted the accelerating competition and economic progress among Montenegro’s municipalities and regions.
“Through advancing and strengthening our infrastructure network, I am confident that, in the near future, more of our northern cities will compete to be recognized as the main hub for Montenegro’s winter and year-round tourism,” Spajić stated in his message to the President of the Municipality and the President of the Municipal Assembly of Žabljak, Radoš Žugić and Ivan Popović.
Spajić also extended his best wishes to the residents of Žabljak on their Municipal Day.
To sustain Žabljak’s leading position, Spajić emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts in sustainably leveraging its abundant resources, particularly in areas such as spatial planning, forestry, energy, water management, and livestock farming.
“By adhering to the official agenda and government policies, Žabljak demonstrates its dedication to the integration process. I am confident that we will continue to experience steady growth in both local and national economies as we strengthen institutions and adhere to European values, principles, and standards,” Spajić concluded.
