Princess Ksenija Highway sees 2.27 million vehicles this year, connecting Bar-Boljare section

Since the beginning of this year, 2.27 million vehicles have traveled on the Princess Ksenija Highway, according to Monteput data.

In previous years, traffic on the highway was 2.87 million vehicles in 2024, 2.29 million in 2023, and 1.14 million in 2022.

The priority Bar-Boljare section of the highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, with toll collection starting the following day. Toll fees are 1.5 euros for motorcycles, 3.5 euros for passenger cars, and 17 euros for trucks and buses.

The first section spans 41.5 kilometers and includes 20 main bridges, nine ramp bridges, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.

The route has four interchanges—Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo—connecting the highway to the existing road network. The maximum speed limit on the highway is 100 kilometers per hour.
