Total revenue from games of chance and prize games in the first two months reached 5.89 million euros, marking an increase of 55.13% compared to the same period last year, according to the Gaming Authority.
“During this period, there was a significant rise in revenue from online games of chance and other telecommunications means, increasing by 226.59%, with a total of 2.51 million euros,” the statement said.
Revenue from casino games amounted to 553.15 thousand euros, representing a growth of 31.93%.
“Additionally, revenue from games of chance in slot clubs reached 1.17 million euros, reflecting an increase of 13.86%,” the Gaming Authority added.
Furthermore, total revenue from betting games reached 1.65 million euros, marking an increase of 4.93%.
“This growth trend is primarily attributed to improvements in oversight through the implementation of a new information system, which enhances control and combats the grey market in the gambling sector,” the statement emphasized.
The Gaming Authority confirmed its commitment to quality work, as evidenced by the continuous growth in revenue.
“The Authority’s work is fully aligned with the goals set by the Government and the Ministry of Finance, particularly in terms of strengthening budgetary revenues,” the statement concluded.
