Since the beginning of the year, the Sozina Tunnel has served 2.79 million vehicles, according to data from Monteput, the company that manages it.
In 2024, a total of 3.78 million vehicles passed through the tunnel, compared to 3.52 million in 2023 and 3.07 million in 2022.
Opened in July 2005, the 4.19-kilometer tunnel connects Montenegro’s coastal region with its central part. Its construction cost around €74 million, with €50 million provided by Montenegro and €24 million financed through a European Investment Bank loan.
