From May 1 to August 17, Montenegro’s Tax Administration carried out 2,667 inspections, uncovering violations in 526 cases. As a result, 706 fines were issued, totaling €2.18 million, with €711,071 already collected, representing 54% of the total.
Twenty-four taxpayers received bans on conducting business activities. Special attention was given to accommodation providers, including apartments, villas, and hotels, with 167 inspections revealing 89 violations and fines of €185,400.
The Tax Administration emphasizes that these measures aim to strengthen tax compliance, combat the shadow economy, and ensure stable public finances, while encouraging citizens to report any observed violations.
