Last year’s dividend was distributed by four companies, while for 2021, three of them did so, according to data from the Montenegro Stock Exchange.
The issuers that during this year’s shareholders’ meetings decided to pay dividends for the previous year are Jugopetrol, Crnogorski Telekom, Zetatrans and Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem (CGES).
“We are talking about companies that operate with a profit and that pay part of the realized profit to their shareholders,” the announcement states.
Jugopetrol, Crnogorski Telekom and Zetatrans have continued to pay dividends for two years in a row, i.e. for last year and 2021.
“Four listed companies – Elektroprivreda (EPCG), Napredak, Sveti Stefan hoteli Budva and Hipotekarna banka, did not make a decision to pay dividends for last year, even though they made a profit, because they decided to redirect the realized profit into retained earnings, or into the company’s reserves,” the announcement states.
At the regular annual Shareholders’ Meeting of the company Centrojadran Bar, the proposed decision on the payment of dividends to shareholders was not adopted, while Railway Infrastructure (ŽICG) decided to use last year’s profit to cover accumulated losses from previous business years.
