As Kalkavan said, Turkey already has significant experience in that area, both in terms of the development of new technologies and in terms of professional staff. He also stated that there is good cooperation between Turkish and Montenegrin businessmen and that this cooperation, in the coming period, will be strengthened through the work of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce, which is active in Montenegro.

Mujović stated that there is room to improve the business environment in Montenegro and one of the priorities will be the further harmonization of the national legislative framework with the European one.

“Montenegro needs serious investors, since we are facing a period of intensive planning and infrastructure construction in all areas, including energy,” Mujović said.

He presented some of the development projects to which special attention will be paid in the following period, such as the construction of the cement plant in Pljevlja, the Berane coal mine, the Nikšić steel plant, and there was also talk about the Government’s further plans when it comes to hydro and solar potential.

Kalkavan informed Mujović that interested Turkish companies carefully follow public invitations and tenders, in order to be informed in time about all the projects that the state of Montenegro intends to implement and so that they can express their interest in a timely manner.
