Since the beginning of the year, the national parks of Montenegro have generated an income of over three million EUR, which is 120 percent more than last year.
According to the company that manages the parks, around 670 thousand visitors enjoyed the nature of Durmitor, Biogradska gora, Lovcen, Lake Skadar and Prokletije.
“Compared to 2019, which was considered a record year with around 550,000 visits, this year’s result exceeded all expectations. Compared to last year, the number of visitors is 47 percent higher”, the company stated.
The director of the company, Vladimir Martinović, said that the dedication, perseverance and teamwork of all colleagues produced excellent results, which are a matter of pride, but also an obligation.
“Plans and programs for the coming years are already being prepared extensively, and the protection and sustainable management of parks is our priority”, concluded Martinović.
