There are currently 3,200 tourists staying in Kotor, which is about 50% more than during the same period last year, according to the Kotor Tourist Organization (TO).

“We can already say that early April marks the beginning of a more intensive tourist season, and the current numbers once again confirm the upward trend in the city’s visitor numbers,” the TO stated, as reported by Radio Kotor.

The majority of tourists—around 1,680—have chosen private accommodation. Among them, the most numerous are visitors from Russia, Turkey, Serbia, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

Hotels are hosting around 1,490 guests, with the largest group coming from Israel. A significant number of hotel guests also come from the UK, Turkey, Germany, France, and China.

Meanwhile, 39 tourists are currently staying in hostels.

“Although the number of excursionists is currently in line with last year’s figures, expectations remain optimistic, and we hope the coming weeks will bring further growth,” TO Kotor added.

During the past week, Kotor was visited by 11,460 excursionists, with the largest groups coming from Turkey, Germany, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.

“While it’s still early to make final predictions, the indicators suggest that we are heading towards a very successful tourist season,” the Kotor Tourist Organization concluded.
