Princess Ksenija highway traffic hits 1.49 million vehicles in 2025

Since the beginning of this year, 1.49 million vehicles have passed through the Princess Ksenija highway, according to data from the Monteput website.

In comparison, 2.87 million vehicles used the highway in 2022, 2.29 million in 2023, and 1.14 million in 2022.

The priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and traffic was allowed starting the next day.

Toll fees were waived for the first seven days. After that, tolls are set at €1.5 for motorcycles, €3.5 for passenger cars, and €17 for trucks and buses.

The total length of this highway section is 41.5 kilometers. It features 20 bridges along the main route, nine bridges on the interchange ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.

The section includes four interchanges with toll booths that connect the highway to existing roads at Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo.

The maximum speed limit on this highway is set at 100 kilometers per hour.
