Montenegro’s Minister of Transport, Maja Vukićević, recently met with Christopher Sheldon, the Head of the World Bank Office for Montenegro, and his team. Sheldon began the meeting by congratulating Vukićević on her appointment as Minister of Transport in the Government of Montenegro.
“The financial and technical assistance provided by the World Bank to bolster our domestic economy reflects the Bank’s commitment to being a crucial partner in strengthening public finances,” said Minister Vukićević. “The World Bank’s involvement, particularly in structural reform measures, will be integral to the Ministry of Transport’s focus on regulatory harmonization and capital projects during my tenure.”
Vukićević emphasized that one of the key activities will be developing guidelines to enhance the capacity and operational mechanisms of state-owned enterprises under the Ministry’s supervision. This area of collaboration will open further opportunities for discussions and interaction between their institutions.
