Slight increase in unemployment in July despite high number of job openings

At the end of July, Montenegro had 28,020 unemployed individuals, showing a slight increase compared to June, according to data from the Employment Office (ZZZ).

The unemployment rate at the end of June stood at 9.13%, down from 11.56% in the same month last year.

The Employment Office recorded 6,500 new hires during the first seven months of this year.

During the same period, 15,070 job vacancies were advertised.
