Montenegro sees 5% growth in agricultural and fishery product sales and purchases in Q3

In the third quarter, the total value of the purchase and sale of agricultural, forestry and fishery products by business entities and agricultural cooperatives with two or more employees amounted to €15.9 million.

According to the Monstat report, €7 million (44%) of this total came from sales of products from their own production, while €8.9 million (56%) came from the purchase of products from individual agricultural producers.

The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery product sales increased by 5% compared to the same period last year. Notably, the sales value of products from businesses’ own production grew by 7.7%, while the value of purchases from individual producers rose by 3%.

In terms of the composition of purchased and sold products, fresh vegetables accounted for 21.6%, raw cow’s milk for 17.6%, eggs for 17.5%, other products for 11.7%, livestock by type and category for 9.6%, grapes for 8.2%, fresh fish for 6.6%, fresh fruits for 5.9%, fruit and grape processing for 0.8% and industrial herbs for 0.5%.
