Voli Company has written to agricultural producers and partners regarding recent developments and the announced boycott of their retail outlets, which they believe will cause harm both economically and in other ways. They emphasize that due to the announced boycott of their retail chains, they will be forced to reduce the agreed-upon quantities of domestic product purchases.
“As you know, for many years we have been building a strong partnership with local producers—meaning you—providing you with a secure market and continuous support. Our mission has always been and remains to support and develop domestic production, strengthen Montenegrin agriculture, and ensure long-term stability in product distribution. However, the announced boycott of retail chains, conducted without a real understanding of the broader economic picture, directly threatens not only our work but also your ability to regularly place your products on the market,” Voli stated in their letter.
Unfortunately, they added, under conditions of potential reduced sales and market instability, they will be forced to decrease the purchase of the planned, agreed-upon, and expected quantities of agricultural products in the near future.
“We are aware of how challenging this is for you and how important it is for your products to reach consumers. We hope that reason will prevail and that all participants in this process will recognize the long-term consequences of such actions. As our long-standing—decades-long suppliers, you know the level of relationship, attention, and support you have received from Voli,” they wrote.
They appeal to decision-makers and organizers of these initiatives to find sustainable solutions that will allow uninterrupted operations and continued support for local production, rather than taking actions that harm the domestic economy.
