Air Montenegro will begin operating three of the five Public Service Obligation (PSO) routes awarded on tender by Montenegro’s Ministry of Transport by the end of November, linking Podgorica with Brussels, Frankfurt and Zagreb. Company executives outlined the start at a news conference on 28 October 2026.
All PSO routes will operate three times a week. Tickets are due to go on sale on 28 and 29 October 2026, according to the airline’s announced schedule.
At the start, return tickets for Zagreb and Bari will cost about 100 euros, while tickets for Paris, Frankfurt and Brussels will cost 150 euros. Air Montenegro said it would fly to the cities’ main airports, not secondary airports in nearby areas.
Company managers described the offer as more than competitive with low-cost airlines flying from Montenegro to the destinations, citing the range of services provided by Air Montenegro as a legacy carrier.
Separately, the airline put an AI assistant for passengers into operation on 28 October, connected to its new multichannel contact centre. Air Montenegro said it was the first airline in the region to launch a passenger AI assistant.
