Maljat Stone has returned to Montenegro’s organised capital market by rejoining the Montenegro Stock Exchange. Executive Director Goran Jevrić framed the move as part of the company’s restructuring and a spur to a third phase of transformation focused on new investment and business model development.

With compliance with the regulatory framework and transparency standards, the exchange presence could create conditions for new sources of financing. Funds raised through those sources would be used to modernize production processes at the mine and factory.

Started in 2024, the restructuring prioritised stabilising operations and establishing control over the company’s finances and overall business operations. It also aimed to restore confidence among employees, business partners, the banking sector and shareholders, change the company’s way of thinking and build a firm basis for long-term sustainable development.

Jevrić’s long-term vision is called Maljat Stone 2030. He said restructuring success should be measured not only by financial results but also by changes in working practices and company organisation, and thanked employees and associates who supported the changes.

The company’s tradition dates to 1964. Jevrić presented the slogan “Maljat is not just stone” as a message developed during the company’s stabilisation and recovery.
