Montenegro’s Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić, met with Air Montenegro’s CEO Vukadin Stojanović to discuss the airline’s performance and future plans, emphasizing the critical role of air connectivity in boosting the country’s tourism sector.
Kordić underscored that strong air links are essential for a destination’s competitiveness and that each new flight route opens doors for incoming tourists. “That is why we initiated the launch of a direct flight to Sofia—not only to strengthen ties with Bulgaria, with whom we are also discussing joint tourism offerings—but also to tap into broader markets. Air accessibility is a key prerequisite for tourism development,” she said.
Stojanović reported that Air Montenegro has recorded excellent business results and remains fully committed to expanding its flight network. He noted that February and March 2025 marked record passenger cabin occupancy for the airline.
He also announced that Montenegro will, for the first time, be connected with four French cities this summer—Paris, Nantes, Lyon, and Lille. Additionally, Air Montenegro is expected to operate up to ten year-round routes by the end of the year.
