The Dr Simo Milošević Institute reported pretax profit of 3.8 million euros for the first nine months of 2026, about 27% higher than the comparable 2025 result excluding a one-off gain from the sale of its Children’s Department. The increase came as sales revenue and overnight stays also rose.
Pretax profit in the first nine months of 2025 was 6.74 million euros, including a 3.75 million euro capital gain from that sale. Excluding the gain, the earlier-period profit was about 2.99 million euros, according to the institute.
Sales revenue increased 4.3% to 11.48 million euros from 11 million euros, while total expenses rose 4.2% to 8.52 million euros from 8.17 million euros. Wages, compensation and other personnel costs were 4.77 million euros, up 3.9% year on year.
The institute served 10,992 users, 4.3% more than a year earlier, and recorded 143,139 overnight stays, an increase of about 5%. Overnight stays by guests from foreign markets fell to 22,946 from 25,051 in the first nine months of 2025.
Users of the Health Insurance Fund accounted for 95,213 nights, about two-thirds of the total and the largest domestic-user category. Trade union organisations accounted for 10,975 nights, the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund for 4,966, and other domestic-user categories for 9,039.
Phase II opened to patients on 9 February 2026. During the reporting period, the institute completed overhauls of six lifts in blocks A and B, installed a new lift in the therapy block and added a new heat pump in the machine room.
