For 12 municipalities in the north, one million euros each from economic citizenship

One million each from the economic citizenship went to the accounts of 12 municipalities in the north. The largest among them is Bijelo Polje, and the money is intended for infrastructure projects.

400,000 euros will be spent on asphalting city streets in the narrowest city core, where the frequency of traffic is the highest. We will also pave the parking lot in the grounds of the General Hospital. This project foresees asphalting in five local communities. The tender for the construction of the facade on the municipal building has also been completed – said Mensur HajdarpaÅ¡ić from the Secretariat for Investments of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.

In Berane, the money from economic citizenship is still in the account. The implementation of the prepared projects will start next year, and part of the funds are planned to be used for the preparation of planning documents.

– Either it will be about the construction of certain roads, or it will be about the construction of some sewage water network, we will make a decision on that later. When allocating that money, an injustice was done to Berane, because taking into account the needs of all other municipalities to which the funds were paid, I think that at this moment no municipality is ready with the project and technical documentation to the extent that the municipality of Berane is ready – Damjan Ćulafić believes.

Mojkovac will get a new square from the allocated funds.

The project has a total value of almost two million euros, and this million will be enough to complete about half of the project, and for the rest of the money we will ask for money from the administration for capital projects, and I hope that at the beginning of next year, when the weather conditions allow, start implementation – says the President of the Municipality Vesko Delić.

In other municipalities as well, the money will be spent on road and water infrastructure and landscaping of public areas. Žabljak will complete five projects by the end of the year. Reconstruction of one of the main city roads is underway in Kolašin. A new building will be built in Plužine, and Plav, Rožaje and Petnjica have several projects ready for implementation, while they are being prepared in Gusinje.

Only Pljevlja and Andrijevica did not receive answers that they are spending the allocated million. Although the money is welcome, all cities agree that these funds are not enough.

One million euros is not enough for all infrastructure problems and projects that we have in the plan and which are currently current, but a part will be paid from the budget of the municipality of Bijelo Polje – says HajdarpaÅ¡ić.
