The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management has issued a public call for support for investments in primary plant production, specifically for the viticulture sector.
When establishing new vineyards or expanding existing ones, the minimum required quantity of grapevine planting material is 500 plants.
According to the Mina Business agency, the deadline for submitting applications is October 31.
Eligible investments include the purchase of certified planting material, irrigation systems including water pumps, support elements for cultivation such as poles and wires, trellises for newly planted vines, as well as anti-hail and bird protection nets.
The minimum investment amount is 500 euros.
The maximum eligible investment is 10,000 euros, with up to 60 percent of the total eligible investment covered by government support, amounting to a maximum of 6,000 euros.
In addition to the 60 percent support, agricultural producers registered in the Organic Production Register for the relevant production area by December 31 of the previous year are eligible for an additional 10 percent support, bringing the total to 70 percent.
An extra 10 percent support is also available to women who are registered as heads of agricultural holdings.
The public call, along with detailed information and the application form, is available on the Ministry’s website.
