Montenegro sees increase in businesses with websites and internet connectivity

According to a recent survey by Montenegro’s Statistical Office, there has been an increase in the number of businesses with a website in the past five years, from 2020 to 2024. The percentage of companies with a website in 2024 has reached 86.6%, reflecting a 2.1 percentage point increase from 2020, when the figure stood at 84.5%.

The research, titled Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Enterprises, reveals that 100% of surveyed companies in Montenegro reported having internet access in their operations this year.

Among companies that have a website, 77.8% stated that they provide access to product catalogs and price lists, while 67% of them have links or references to social media profiles.

The survey also found that 98.9% of businesses with internet access use fixed broadband connections, such as DSL. Additionally, 82.6% of companies use mobile broadband connections, which marks a slight increase of 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous year.
