Montenegro’s government on 26 October 2026 decided on a proposal setting lower excise amounts for certain gas oils used as motor fuel. The decision concerns specified product categories, but the government provided no figures for the reduced rates or the size of the excise cut.
The proposal applies to gas oils under seven tariff codes: 2710 19 43, 2710 19 46, 2710 19 47, 2710 19 48, 2710 20 11, 2710 20 16 and 2710 20 19. The government said it decided on the proposal under Article 10 of the Government Regulation without holding a meeting, after obtaining the consent of a majority of government members. The lower amounts concern gas oils only when used as motor fuel.
