“Also new, and it refers to content for children, is the Mimosa Park, which will be located in the city center, more precisely Boka Park. The biggest attraction of the park will definitely be the skating rink, then the stage for children’s shows, music concerts, catering houses that will offer authentic gastronomic products and souvenirs. In any case, there is a lot of content and entertainment for the youngest,” said Terzić.

In addition to the music program, there will also be a fish, mimosa and wine festival, a fish dinner, a masquerade ball for children and adults, a wine salon, a flower exhibition, theater performances for children and adults, literary evenings with Ljubivoje Ršumović and Vedrana Rudan, and an art salon.

“The program also includes an attractive karići race through the city center, an always interesting picigina competition, a tournament in briškula and tresheta, as well as a race up the most beautiful stairs in Novi to Škver to Španjola fortress, for young and old participants,” said the Directorate. Terzić announced that it is not yet possible to speak precisely about the funds that will be allocated for the organization of the festival.
“Funds for financing the program are foreseen in the budget of the Municipality through expenditures for cultural events, as well as in the budget of the Tourist Organization, and for certain program segments, the support of the sponsors and partners of the festival is provided”, stated the Directorate.

The exact amount of funds that will be distributed for that purpose will be precisely determined before the start of the festival, bearing in mind that it depends on the logistics and other segments necessary for the successful implementation of the program, the contracting of which is ongoing. As part of the preparation of the festival, the Mimosa Festival website was created, where you can find the complete program and interesting facts about one of the oldest winter tourist and propaganda events in our area.

“When it comes to benefits for foreign tourists, special focus this year was placed on better connecting Herceg Novi with the most important emitting markets. In this regard, the Secretariat for Tourism, Economic Development and Investments of the Municipality has agreed with the Montenegrin national airline company to organize a larger number of flights from Belgrade to Tivat during the holidays,” the Festival Directorate announced.
