The Government of Montenegro has instructed the Ministry of Finance to plan 4.76 million euros for four projects in the country’s north in the 2027 budget. The projects were not included on the final list of priority capital investments, according to Government conclusions published on 23 October.
The conclusions direct the ministry to use existing capital-budget activities managed by the Ministry of Public Works. Funding for the Rujišta Eco Katun in Andrijevica, estimated at 403,082.30 euros, would be planned under the activity for tourism infrastructure. Three road and street projects, with a combined estimated value of 4,358,421.06 euros, would be covered by an existing activity supporting local governments in resolving infrastructure problems.
The three transport projects are the reconstruction of Manastirska Street in Berane, estimated at 1,446,062.38 euros; repairs and asphalting on the Bjelasica–Trešnjevik road in Kolašin, estimated at 2,030,813.18 euros; and the adaptation of the Bare Kraljske–Ljubanj road in Kolašin, estimated at 881,545.50 euros. Their evaluation scores were 35.58, 35 and 30 points, respectively.
The four projects passed the assessment process but did not make the final list of 28 priority projects. The selection process received 172 applications and assessed 47 projects; the selected investments have an estimated total value of 78.51 million euros.
The Public Investment Council recommended on 30 September that some projects be financed through cumulative activities covering tourism, culture and communal infrastructure. The Government’s later conclusions identified these four investments for budget planning. The final amounts and timing of funding will depend on the 2027 budget and allocations within the relevant capital-budget activities.
