In July, Montenegro’s Customs Administration achieved a gross revenue collection of €130 million, marking a €19 million or 17% increase compared to the same period last year.
The revenue plan for July was exceeded by €9 million, or 7%, according to the Customs Administration’s announcement.
The Administration aims to ensure efficient revenue collection, significantly contributing to overall budget revenues through robust fiscal measures. All types of duties saw an increase in revenue collection.
The most notable revenue growth was in Value Added Tax (VAT) on imports, which amounted to €88 million—an increase of €17 million or 24% from July of the previous year.
Excise duties contributed €35.6 million, while customs duties brought in €6 million. Revenue from coffee taxes was €273,000, and other revenues totaled €13,000.
For the first seven months of the year, total customs revenue reached €723.09 million, up by €58.44 million or 9% compared to the same period last year.
