The Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro has underscored the necessity of ongoing and transparent communication between governmental institutions and the business sector as crucial for enhancing the nation’s investment landscape. This dialogue aims to build investor confidence and promote economic growth. Recent discussions featured representatives from Turkish companies and officials from Montenegro’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, addressing administrative hurdles, legislative reforms, and procedural challenges impacting foreign investors and expatriate entrepreneurs. The meeting, which included the Turkish Ambassador to Montenegro, highlighted a commitment to strengthening economic ties and commercial cooperation between Turkey and Montenegro.

During these discussions, Turkish business leaders expressed their desire for a more direct and efficient dialogue with policymakers to tackle structural issues and collaboratively find sustainable solutions that can elevate Montenegro’s appeal as an investment hub. Montenegrin officials remarked on the established trust and strong history of collaboration in the bilateral economic relationship with Turkey, noting that foreign direct investments exceeded €870 million in 2025, with Turkish investors contributing approximately 15% of this total. The conversation also touched on recent trends in migration and residency among foreign entrepreneurs, indicating Montenegro’s growing significance as a base for international business operations in the region.
