Representatives from the NTO, local tourism organizations, and businesses held numerous meetings with tour operators who displayed keen interest in either including Montenegro in their offerings or enriching existing programs.

Tomaš Kanda from the tour operator Čedok mentioned that Montenegro has been part of their offerings for some time now. “Direct flights to your country are very important for us, and we have excellent cooperation with tourism agencies and hotels. So far, most of our partners are along the coast, but we believe we’ll expand our offerings for Montenegro. This workshop offers excellent opportunities for that,” Kanda stated.

Pavel Točik, representing Air Montenegro in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, emphasized the substantial interest in Montenegro. “Events like these are crucial for tour operators to see the impressive offerings of Montenegro. We had excellent hotels and local tourism organizations at the workshop, showcasing all the possibilities this destination holds. There was quite a bit of interest, and I’m confident this will have a positive impact on the upcoming season. I can confirm that interest in Montenegro is growing year by year,” Točik remarked.

As a strategic partner of the NTO, Air Montenegro will connect Montenegro with another city in the Czech Republic this year. In addition to flights to Brno and Prague, they will also fly to Ostrava, the third-largest city in the Czech Republic.

Air Montenegro highlighted the significance of the Czech and Slovak markets for them, expressing high expectations for flights to these countries.

Milena Stojanović, Head of Sales and Customer Support at Air Montenegro, expressed pride in connecting Montenegro directly with the Czech Republic for the third consecutive year and with Slovakia for the second consecutive year. “This year, we are operating according to the planned flight schedule, from Tivat to Brno up to three times a week from June to September, from Tivat to Prague up to five times a week from May to October, and from Podgorica to Bratislava up to three times a week from June to September,” Stojanović stated.

She mentioned that due to significant interest from tourists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, they have expanded their offerings this year by introducing a new route, Podgorica – Ostrava, operating once a week from June to September.

According to the NTO, this form of promotion is essential for the tourism industry to directly showcase its offerings to potential clients. They expressed joy at the large number of tourism stakeholders participating in this workshop, recognizing it as one of the best ways to promote their services and have direct contact with tour operators.

The visit from the Czech market reflects growing trends, and with good air connectivity and adequate promotion, they are confident in continuing to achieve positive results in this market, according to the NTO.

According to Monstat data, last year saw a 53% increase in tourist arrivals from the Czech Republic compared to 2022 and a 32% increase compared to 2019.

In addition to the NTO and Air Montenegro, local tourism organizations from Budva, Herceg Novi, Bar, and Tivat, along with Montenegro Stars, Budva Riviera, Hotel Olea Ulcinj, Maestar Hotel and Casinos, and Avala Resort & Villas, attended the business workshop in Prague.
