The company Zeren Group, which has been successfully operating in Turkey for 50 years, as well as in six other countries, has expressed its intention to expand its existing operations in Montenegro, investing its own capital in opening a bank.
As announced by the Ministry of Finance, the company also operates in the field of energy and metal industry.
General directors in the Ministry of Finance, Danko Dragović, responsible for the economic and financial system, and Bojan Paunović, responsible for the state budget, spoke with the Turkish ambassador to Montenegro, Baris Kalkavan, and the director of the Turkish company Zeren Group, Mustafa Yigit Zeren, who is also the vice president of the Turkish Economic chambers in Montenegro.
“According to the information from the recent Kalkavan meeting at the Ministry of Finance about the great interest of Turkish investors in investing in Montenegro, today was an opportunity for one of them to present their investment ideas. Namely, Zeren Group, which has been successfully operating in Turkey for 50 years, as well as in six other countries, has expressed its intention to expand its existing operations in Montenegro, investing its own capital in opening a bank”, the announcement states.
Dragović evaluated the positive initiative for additional expansion of the banking offer in Montenegro, stressing that the banking sector is stable and operates profitably.
He added that decisions on the opening of banks and technical procedures related to that process are within the competence of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG).
