Budva is ready for the summer tourist season, so the hotel facilities are full, and the private accommodation is almost fully occupied. Of the 42,000 tourists currently staying in Budva, about 17,000 guests are staying in Budva hotels, said the representative of the Budva Tourist Organization, Tijana Kotarac.

– This is the period when all capacities are filled, especially in hotels. This means that we should think about expanding the hotel’s capacity in the future. Our fellow citizens who build small family hotels, which are certainly the future of Budva and the Budva riviera, contribute greatly to this – she pointed out.

– We have information that there are about 35,000 registered beds and about 70,000 of those who pay the tourist tax, within non-residential housing units. We assume that a number of people are not registered or are staying in their own apartments and facilities. So we are satisfied, but it can be even better. Especially in private accommodation. We have good communication with the Association of Private Publishers and they say that the season is not at the level they expected. Maybe because the main season started later than in previous years. Nevertheless, these days the crowd is obvious and it can be said that it is the “peak” season and we expect that until the end of August – said the representative of the Tourist Organization of Budva, Tijana Kotarac.

She added that in September and October they expect guests who have announced their stay, mostly in hotels.

– In hotels and private accommodation, the most numerous guests are from the neighborhood, from Serbia. This year there are a lot of tourists from Israel and Poland. In private accommodation, guests from Serbia are also the most numerous, followed by Ukrainians, Russians, guests from BiH… Thanks to airlines, guests come during the summer from all over the world. This year we also have the so-called excursionists. and from 150 countries of the world – said Kotarac.

She recalled the recently launched campaign that will make it easier for tourists to stay on the Budva Riviera.

Budva Riviera, the largest hotel group in Montenegro, is satisfied with the results of the summer season so far. The spokeswoman of that group, Jelena Kaluđerović, said that 1,656 accommodation units in their hotels were filled, and added that they were very satisfied during the peak season itself.
