Montenegro is poised to establish its inaugural high-tech factory dedicated to the production of sustainable pallets, marking a significant advancement in the country’s industrial landscape. This facility will focus on manufacturing fully recyclable corrugated cardboard pallets aimed at enhancing modern logistics and promoting circular economy practices. The project agreement was signed by Gregor Brajović, an innovator and investor, alongside Sanja Milosavljević, the founder of Impact Investments Group, which partners locally with ZeeQuest Holding, the European technology group behind the KraftPal initiative.
The new factory will be the seventh KraftPal facility worldwide, introducing advanced sustainable logistics production to the Western Balkans and elevating Montenegro’s profile in the European market for eco-friendly supply-chain solutions. KraftPal’s pallets are designed as a sustainable alternative to traditional wooden pallets, addressing issues related to disposal, waste generation, and resource depletion linked to conventional timber products.
According to the agreement, construction of the factory is anticipated to commence soon, integrating high-tech manufacturing with circular economy principles and investment opportunities within the logistics and manufacturing sectors. The facility will utilize KraftPal’s automated production technologies to create pallets that are fully recyclable while adhering to modern standards for strength and efficiency.
Proponents of this initiative emphasize its potential to stimulate a new industrial sector in Montenegro, generate employment opportunities, and minimize the environmental impact of regional supply chains. This is particularly relevant as industries across Europe increasingly seek recyclable solutions to meet sustainability targets. The factory is expected to enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities and create export opportunities within the region, given the expanding global pallet market and growing demand for eco-efficient logistics materials.
