Luštica Bay is set to bolster its status as a premier nautical destination through proposed modifications to Montenegro’s coastal temporary-facilities program. The initiative outlines plans for three mooring locations in Trašte Bay, accommodating vessels up to 30, 60, and 100 meters in length.
In addition, a designated restricted anchorage is planned, covering an area of 3,000 square meters and featuring four buoys for larger yachts. These new facilities will be strategically positioned outside Luštica Marina to minimize disruption to maritime traffic and existing underwater infrastructure.
Onshore developments are also included in the proposal, featuring two swimming pools with a total area of approximately 890 square meters, outdoor cinemas, event domes, hospitality venues, a children’s playground, and electric vehicle charging stations. Additional pontoons and platforms are planned to enhance access and provide short-term berthing options for boats.
The program encompasses five bathing areas along roughly 820 meters of coastline between Velja Spila, Oblatno, and Luštica. These areas will cater to various preferences, including public beaches, family-friendly zones, hotel beaches, party areas, and “romantic” beach settings.
It is important to note that while the document outlines potential planning opportunities, it does not authorize construction. Comprehensive studies and approvals from maritime authorities will be necessary before any development can proceed. Furthermore, no investment amounts, construction schedules, or confirmed investors have been disclosed at this time.
