Within the TOP 5 best-rated destinations in the largest number of monthly reports, Montenegro took a high second place, while during July it was in first place among the best-rated destinations.

– This is an extraordinary success for our country. It should be borne in mind that, according to visitors, Montenegro has overtaken numerous tourist destinations in Europe, among which there are significant tourist superpowers. We are sure that such good results will also affect the improvement of the destination image of Montenegro – they say from the National Tourist Organization.

Also, according to data from the European Travel Commission on the increase in the average occupancy rate of hotel capacities and revenue per room (ADR) in November 2022 compared to the same period in 2019, all European countries recorded an increase of over 40%, while in Montenegro, the increase in ADR was as much as 169%, which places it in second place among European countries with the highest growth rate of ADR.

– Although the war in Ukraine, problems in air traffic and high inflation have had a negative impact on travel planning, the monthly surveys of the European Travel Commission show that European destinations had a successful summer season and that air traffic in Europe during August was at the level of 89% compared to 2019 – says the NTO announcement.

The European Travel Commission is the leading European travel institution and at the same time one of the leading international organizations in the tourism sector. It was founded in 1948 with its headquarters in Brussels, and together with national European tourism organizations, it also gathers associated members from the private sector, i.e. agencies, carriers, global online platforms and other tourism service providers. The main goal of the European Travel Commission is to improve tourism policies at the European level and to position Europe as the world’s leading tourist destination, local media reported.
