Montenegro sees modest increase in industrial product prices in Q1 2025

In the first quarter of this year, the prices of industrial products imported into Montenegro increased by 0.9% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).

“Compared to the first quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector saw a 1.6% increase, while the manufacturing industry sector grew by 0.9%,” the statement said.

In comparison to the fourth quarter of the previous year, industrial product prices from imports in the first quarter rose by 0.5%.

“Compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector remained unchanged, while the manufacturing industry sector experienced a 0.5% increase,” Monstat officials added.

The prices of industrial products for export from Montenegro in the first quarter of this year saw an increase of 7.1% compared to the same period last year.

“Compared to the first quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector grew by 11.4%, and the manufacturing industry sector increased by 6.4%,” the statement noted.

In comparison to the fourth quarter of the previous year, the prices of industrial products for export rose by 1% in the first quarter of this year.

“Compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector experienced a 0.4% decrease, while the manufacturing industry sector saw a 1.3% increase,” Monstat concluded.
