The state-majority-owned hotel group is updating Hotel Mogren’s design to meet new construction rules before applying for a building permit. The Budva hotel has generated only non-accommodation revenue for several years.

Montenegro’s Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property has overturned the construction ban on the first phase of Carine’s Novi Novi resort and returned the case to the inspectorate for a new decision. The ministry found that the inspection order did not clearly establish the facts or explain the grounds for the ban, but did not confirm that all work complies with planning rules.
