Sozina Tunnel sees 78,000 vehicles in 2025, continuing strong traffic trends

The Sozina Tunnel has served 78,770 vehicles since the beginning of the year.

According to data from Monteput’s website, the company managing the tunnel, 3.78 million vehicles passed through the tunnel last year.

In 2023, 3.52 million vehicles used the tunnel, while in 2022, the number was 3.07 million.

The Sozina Tunnel was opened in July 2005. Its construction cost approximately 74 million EUR, with 50 million EUR provided by Montenegro, and 24 million EUR secured through a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The Sozina Tunnel is 4.19 kilometers long and connects the coastal region with the central part of Montenegro.
