Tivat Airport poised for summer expansion

Tivat Airport is gearing up to serve approximately 40 destinations this summer, with Terminal 2 set to remain operational throughout the season, announced Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović.

During his visit to Tivat Airport, Radulović engaged in discussions with the airport’s management, emphasizing the readiness of Tivat Airport for the upcoming tourist season.

“I anticipate Tivat Airport to surpass last year’s performance this year. Given Montenegro’s status as the fastest-growing tourist destination, the airport plays a pivotal role as a gateway for a substantial number of tourists arriving via air travel,” expressed Radulović.

In talks with the airport’s management, Minister Radulović underscored the importance of enhancing air connectivity.

“We have established a task force dedicated to addressing air accessibility concerns in Montenegro, aiming for a significant enhancement in the current scenario. Tivat Airport is poised to link with approximately 40 destinations this season,” highlighted Radulović.

Moreover, Minister Radulović confirmed the operational status of “Terminal 2” throughout the summer season, stressing the necessity of ongoing efforts to enhance airport infrastructure.

Significantly, repairs to the roofs of airport facilities have been completed, resolving a major issue.
