The Ministry of European Affairs and the Municipality of Kotor will hold an event on 9 November to present EU programmes, funds and development opportunities for entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), the organisers said. The event will cover business support and ways for smaller firms to engage with EU opportunities.
Representatives of the EU Delegation, the Municipality of Kotor, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will discuss support programmes. Marija Franović, owner and director of Lux Upholstery, and Borislavka Bobana Golović, founder and director of Ineska, will share their experience of doing business and working with European markets.
Further topics include Montenegro’s Smart Specialisation Strategy for 2026–2031 and prospects for using EU cohesion funds after the country joins the bloc. The programme will also present new development opportunities for entrepreneurs and MSMEs.
The event is part of the Empowering Municipalities for European Action 2026 initiative, implemented through the EU4ME project. It will include a discussion with participants and networking.
